My 80s Dark Elves

Hi guys!

I have been lurking the forum for a while, so time to make a contribution - and to show of :) !

Next weekend me and a couple of friends will attend a ETC team tournament in Borås, Sweden. The list i´m bringing is a typical Dark elves filth army. But the models are nice though :) .
This is not the whole army, as its somewhat spread out, it´s roughly 7000 points. I you want I can get more pictures of the rest, but for now this is it.

Hope you like it!

So happy you posted pics.

Someone else posted a quick shot of your army from a tournament a whie back and I've been lusting after more. I would love to see some close ups.

and two chariots

Thanks a lot guys! I will take some pictures after the tournamnet - close ups and hopefully better quality.
@mbh: I didn´t realize you could find pictures of it on the internet - cool nontheless. Did you mean the Bob Naismith chariots? I don´t have them at home, but here is the third chariot and other stuff:

More pics will come!

How on earth did you get two of those unreleased chariots?

One of my favorite armies ever.

Hi!

Im also new to this forum, and wow some really good looking armies here! Im not going to hijack his thread, but I found some pictures of the mentioned Bob Naismith chariots.

My brother has collected DE for quite some time, I think he brought the chariots from ebay a couple of years ago.

Those chariots look amazing, only seen black and white photo before. God knows how much they'd go for on Ebay !!!

Those are the widely released Elven Attack Chariots from the boxed set. I think you are referring to this: http://solegends.com/citads1989a/198903 ... dec-01.htm

Outstanding army & I love the conversions. They really personalize the army & make it unique.
It must have been a challenge to pull all of those minis together for your force.

nope

I was talking aboutthe unreleased. I had stalked his photobucket before he posted pics ofthe chariots.

Thanks for the kind comments!
As my brother mentioned, I have collected Dark elves for a while, at least seven years and have been quite lucky on ebay. For instance, one of the Bob Naismith chariots was wrongly listed and had an awful paint job, so I got it way too cheap (though I must say that lately it´s been increasingly more difficult to make good deals on ebay). Other than that, it has been a matter of patience to assemble the army, which can actually be rewarding once you stumble on "that" miniature you "need".

@mbh: Thanks for posting the link, I really thought that my first Pictures would be the first of the army to reach a wider audience, but the internet can be surprising sometimes... The dwarf/Empire army on the link is also a joint effort (paintingwise) by me, my brother and the owner and looks better than the Pictures suggest. As a sidenote, I saw that Nico made a comment in that thread, If I´m not misstaken, I sold my 4th/5ed dwarf army (painted by me and my brother) to him two years ago. If that´s the case it just goes to show how small the World is.

Hi!
Extremly slow on updates. Anyhow, here´s some pictures from a game at the club today. Photos are, as always, below standard quality. The red is particulary off. Hope you like it!

Thats an amazing army you have there, being new to this whole Oldhammer Thing I don`t know a lot about Vintage Models apart from the OOP Dwarves I collect. I allways found old Elves goofy and strange looking...but man you are making me a believer .
