Thanks, I'm totally planning to go the multicoloured unit route with these guys too, it works so well on the demonettes, and I think it works on these guys too, also planning to do it with my flamers and horrors, I might even try it on my bloodletters when I come around to painting them.
The Nurgling was really a fisrt try, I'd love to get some bases of the buggers, as wel as have some for a Waraltar of Nurgle that I'm planning, but I only really like the 3rd and 5th edition models and they're not cheap, so sculpting my own will probably be the only affordable route to go. this was my first bit of putty pushing in a few years though, so it's a bit rough, plus the guy is tiny, I might be better of making them slightly bigger.
Porkaborg I hear you on the NMM, to be fair if I had started the warband now I probably would have gone with metals, but these guys were started a few years back just when I got out of my confrontation (the rackham fantasy game, not the old GW one)period, when NMM was all the rage. When I started my RT spacewolves and wanted to go back to metallics, I even found out I didn't have any pots left that weren't dried out, as I hadn't painted metallics in years.
I'm now sticking with it as I think painting NMM overall is good practice and makes me a better painter, although I have to say it's a lot better suited for display models, and I'm only trying to get it up to a high tabletop standard, so the NMM isn't always perfect, which doesn't help
