Mr Hobby metallics

I saw these mentioned recently and had a look at the range and they looked interesting, sadly I cant seem to find a supplier that ships to here aside from an ebay one in Hong Kong. Has anyone had any experience with them? I'm thinking of using the shinier chrome metallics as a base for glazes to paint an Earl of Harkness model I have.

cheap Chinese paints? uh oh.. sounds iffy.. I know Chinese produced toys (in fact, most toys you can find are done like that, but think more the slightly higher grade ones) are painted in the factories in china with very good hardwearing paint.. which is extremely toxic when not in a dried form. This might not be that fantastic paint but still.. that starts to worry me.

for metallics, there are tons of good ones around. If you are gonna tint them with a glaze, a light silver is a good bet.

https://www.pmmodelsuk.com/mr-hobby-metallics carry them and claim to ship worldwide. No idea what the company is like. https://www.scalemodelshop.co.uk/super-metallic-ii/ also have some and I've bought from them before, but I don't know where they ship to.

If you are after very metallic metallics then some of the other options from Vallejo might work for you and you might find them locally. I've found the silvers from Metal Color range to be good (the golds not so much), impressive for acrylics. The Liquid Metal range are supposed to be very good and shiny, but I've not tried them myself. The MOLOTOW Liquid Chrome pens (and refills) are good and shiny and normally available from places like Amazon.
