Mount Silence at Night

Today, my 2024 advent calendar arrived - the best I ever had; with metal minis instead of chocolate :) It is available from Oakbound Studio.

At Christmas, I will have a complete little game ready - at least that is the plan. This thread will not see any update until 2024-12-01, when I open the first door. But having made the bold statement, that I will be done at Christmas, having posted that now is my motivation to see it through :)

@Fimm McCool For next year's advent calendar from Oakbound Studio (well, that is a given, right ;)) I would wish for a bit more sturdy packaging; the card envelope did not protect the calendar from some bends and half open doors, as you can see in the pictures. Nothing fell out, but I can peek into more than one compartment - not that I would. If that means a bit more postage, fine with me.

There is also some information on reasons for that (not all though) here:

Noted. I was limited by what I could afford in small quantities. They were supplied with 'card wrap for secure postage', but that turned out to be just a large cardboard envelope not really offering much in the way of protection. Why they couldn't supply that kind of thick book wrap is beyond me. They lose out on their quality review because of it.

Waaa! Amazing work! Can I share it in the Woods group? Really looking forward to seeing what you do with the actual game!

Yep, that is the plan. Although I will do the main board in sections and corridors. So, they can be swapped about later.

Geoff, do you have names for the different rooms? The The Lion's Crest room?

The Green room?

Awesome. Don't know whether to give you a spoiler or not...

The lion head room has JIETNA (the name of one of the guilds) around the centre. Haven't given specific names as their use varies from scenario to scenario.

This is absolutely fantastic. I've been really struggling to keep my fingers off the calendar - just a couple of weeks now! I think owing to my childhood love of Heroquest etc I am so deeply charmed by dungeon boards and related scenery. Great job on your tiles! I will study them, particularly the marble one, for my future efforts :)
