Mordheim Undead Warband

Here my undead warband for mordheim. All the miniatures are vintage. I painted it in 2009.

The vampire, I used a simple chaos sorcerer from old Citadel:

Necromancer (a really vintage chaos sorcerer, I bought it when I was a kid, it was in the "Heroes for Dungeon Quest"

Dregs (some old chaos sorcerers)

the warband, at the time I didn't like the idea of use zombies and ghouls, so I included wraith as ghouls and skeleton as zombies (now However I've painted some ghouls and zombies too )

That guy with the the bone armour is my favorite chaos champion of them all! I like the paintjobs, could use a bit of contrast tho. I have to say that i hate those wraith models , they look so cartoony.

I just love the classy white tunics you gave to all those wonderful Jez Goodwin champions. Lovely band. Wraiths and skellies aren't the best models around for me too but your colourscheme adn composition just make it splendid.

Very nice work - may i ask - Do you paint many figures at the same time? And do you plan/picture/paint the overall scheme before you start? You are very good at what i call the "army look" They look great together.

Thanks. I usually paint about 3-4 miniatures at the same time. Usually I paint a single miniature with the paint scheme I'm planning and if I like it I paint the others with the same paint scheme.

I really like the look of those. Although the colour scheme is plain, the models have enough variety and character, that it's not boring.

Great choice of chaos champion models and I actually like the lack of contrast with lots of pale hues, looks really good.
