Miniatures directly inspired by oldhammer artwork?

While searching the lore for any mention about glühwein consumption in the empire (With no luck at all! Can you believe that? Must be a terrible oversight from those writing this stuff...) I came across this picture of sorceress casting a spell in wfrp 1st ed. and thought I've seen a mini very similar to it. This got me thinking if anyone knew other miniatures based on old warhammer artwork that have gone under the radar (as I suppose this one has)?
I imagine most of us know of Satyr Art Studio, so other than that? ;)

Knightmare miniatures.. Tons of nice stuff based on art.. a few of which I have. Mostly ones which never had official figures made
L72 miniatures, again, quite a number based on old art, some of which had no release as miniatures.

Ah yes, Knightmare is also a well known manufacturer of oldhammer-style miniatures. I was thinking more of 'hidden' ones, those that require some detective work to find out and don't openly declare "This is Oldhammer inspired, y'all!" :)
I guess I should have been more clear about that. :)

Nice idea for a thread! There are a few I can think of certainly that are not Citadel models but very clearly based off drawings/paintings. I expect there are a decent number of Citadel ones as well (obviously ignoring concept art!), although of course it could be hard in some cases to know which came first! Although thinking of the more hidden ones, tricky, but I'll be interested to see what the brains here can dredge up!

Not much of a hidden mini (and I forget who sculpted this - apologies), but one I have on my shelf right now:

True. Some Citadel minis were obviously inspired by artwork or vice versa. Hrothyogg the ogre is a prime example of that and at least bounty hunter, coachman and woodsman had miniatures very similar to their artwork in wfrp in fantasy adventurers.

That robot is way cool!

I believe it was mostly Versa- the drawings based on existing miniatures. There's an IP risk in producing miniatures directly based on GW artwork so most physical sculptors shy away from it. Digital sculptors hide away a lot easier so there are stls of plenty of artwork-based sculpts if that's your bag.

I wonder if the risk of getting sued is bigger or smaller when making homage versions (or sometimes pretty direct copies) of Citadel miniatures (albeit long OOP) or miniatures based on their artwork? What you say about digital sculptors is definitely true, I've seen some 3d printed Gotrek & Felix miniatures that were exactly like in one of the book covers.
But I'm mostly curious about more subtle takes; less known characters and less known pieces of art. Basically randomly finding out that "this miniature clearly depicts x or y piece of warhammer artwork!" kind of stuff.

UK copyright is about authors life + 70 years. When the art is signed over to a company... I'm not 100% sure but legally, they it's stolen goods really.. not saying 100% don't do it or anything, Just I really dislike people who try to hide behind stuff like "Oh, I was unware that what I was doing was illegal".. most of the time it'll probably just be a C&D letter which you should kinda pay attention to. slightly unrelated, I think Space Vixens from Outer space is currently dealing with a C&D issue .as in, some of there space aliens are having to be repainted on stock photos because.. yeah.. when you do a sculpt which is a dead ringer, maybe try to NOT 100% copy of the colour scheme too. an They are a pretty small company/group.

I'm 100% sure that Fimm can get you much better idea on the copyright side due to it more being related to his job(s) ^_^

Never seen those before, though not a big surprise as I haven't followed 3d sculpting scene at all. Yeah, their faces are definitely recognizable as being inspired by Bonner's art, and otherwise many of them are recognizable as homages to older models. ;)
