Came across some old CMs and snapped them up.

I’ve started converting them to Night Lords.

That's a popping paint job! Personally I'd probably try silver trims, still I suspect until you try one or other you won't know. The minis are somewhat past my time however, roughly when do they date from?

Think these are plastics from the 3rd edition, so going on 28 years ago… 😳

Just checked and the set of plastic chaos marines was released in summer 2002, so 24 years ago! 😣

Thought they looked a bit new ;)

I did play a bit of 2nd and 3rd 40K, but we tended to use a friend's versions and didn't get the box sets (although I do have a copy of the 3rd rulebook on the shelf) so for some reason I never really progressed much past RT 1.5! They look like pretty decent marines.
 
They looked every bit 24 years old too when I I got them. Giving old models new life gives me new life. Unfortunately I’m going to have to print out their arms though
