Forgive me pitching this to you folks here...
I've been working on writing this game for 10 years and now it is finally finished!

Here's the blurb...
Blakes 7 Battle Factions is a complete in-depth wargame for 28mm miniatures.
At 186 pages / 93,249 words, Blakes 7 Battle Factions uses a unique exclusive rules system specially created to capture an immersive in-universe feeling for Blakes 7 specifically.
Realistic breadth and depth is given to the playable characters reflecting their personalities as shown in the series, whilst retaining fast-paced action and enjoyably versatile, easy to understand playability.
A very substantial thick tome of rules & background (when printed, anyway), this entirely free pdf contains an exhaustive selection of over 90 Blakes 7 characters and unit types, an extremely comprehensive scenarios section, and mountains of insightful connections and background detail.
If you've ever been interested in Blakes 7 wargaming this is the specifically in-universe ruleset you've been waiting for...

I've written it in the style of an early 80's wargame. I figured if you like Blakes 7, you'd appreciate that too.
Its yours for free. :)

Lovely stuff - I've always liked the Blakes 7 universe and it has been underrepresented in game terms.
Thank you very kindly! Yes, I guess I thought so too; its a bit surprising really, considering that the UK is the wargaming capitol of the world, and that one of its most groundbreaking classic SF programmes should be so neglected.
Cheers John! :)

Obviously a labour of love.

While I watched and liked Blake’s 7 at the time, for some reason it never had the same impact on me as Doctor Who. Maybe because it only aired for a few years.

Yes, as you say, a labour of love. But I understand. Everything is subjective. I also have been deeply into classic Who over the years, But there are many rabid Blakes 7 fans, I'm one of them, and I have always craved a proper B7 wargame.
Although they share many of the same creators, I think if you examine them closely, B7 and DW are really very different shows. I do think Doctor Who appeals more to the general public. There is a lot of subtext in Blakes 7 that Doctor Who generally didn't bother with to the extent Blakes 7 did. Perhaps one reason is that the episodes were shorter and therefore easier to weave in something tacit or at least very subtle as a plot point that the audience is expected to unravel. Conversely, DW tends to have a lot more "pleasant pot-boiler" or "fun romp" sort of episodes than B7 does, as B7 was a bit more serious and heavy, with main characters getting gunned down or otherwise killed off periodically. Both are of course much loved flagships of UK SF TV and although DW currently enjoys a revived popularity, it looks like Blakes 7 has fallen by the wayside! Hence this game.
However, I haven't forgotten that a lot of folks tend to like both to a certain extent if they like one...
When series B was going to end, there was a rumour that the Daleks were going to roll in, revealed to be behind everything, in the cliffhanger at the end of Star One. (Terry Nation actually pitched this idea but it was declined.) As many people know this bit of trivia, I have included a single DW profile in the game; a Dalek, c.1979, for added scenario potential.

thanks for this, although clearly my memory of blake's 7 is hazy since i don't recognise the characters on the cover.

Ehehe... Don't blame yourself...! :?
Years ago I read a thread on a forum (maybe the old crooked dice forum) about what people would want out of a Blakes 7 wargame. One of the things many people said they wanted was to see illustrations they hadn't already seen a hundred times before over the years. (So accordingly, I faked some up...)
Another thing people mainly wanted was a big scenarios section that covered transmitted episodes as well as scenarios akin to untransmitted episodes set during Series A-D. Furthermore nearly everyone wanted a "what if" section to cover a possible Series E. (I've tried my best to deliver what was asked.) The cover illustration represents characters from the hypothetical Series E section of these rules, as I wanted to emphasise the option offered in the game of moving forward into more Blakes 7 in the form of narrative gaming that goes beyond the final episode.
