I used to have a range of scratch-built ships for Man O'War, but only this Plagueship now remains.

Those are really rather good, I have only played Man O'War maybe 5/6 times but I remember it being a blast with ramming and boarding :)

Those are great.
It wouldn't even occur to me to try and sculpt one from scratch.
Brilliant result.

Very, very cool minis.
It makes me take a second look at those ships after reading your text (always checking the pics first) to see they are scratchbuilts.

Good paintjob too !

Thanks all! I'm working on the remaining two Ironsharks simultaneously at the moment and will take some WIP shots.

And there I was asking to myself what these little round parts wre for on the skeleton sprue : they're deisgned for man o'war ships of course !

Very well done mate.

That took me ages to work out... they're shield bosses for the old shields with holes in the middle, right? By the time I started collecting all the shields were solid so I couldn't see what they were for and used them as knee pads for some of my skellies!

Aye they are for the Shields, but only a select few know the real reason... to use for man o'war heh

I don't think I have any shields in my current collection that actually use these bosses but I like the look. It's quite easy to shave off the back and fit them on newer shields. As parts these are great though, I've also recently used some as kneepads for converted Blood Bowl Mummies.
