Lund's Grenadier Orcs compatible with Ugezod's Black Orcs?

Are Nick Lund's Grenadier/Mirliton Orcs the same size as the Ugezod's Black Orc troopers? Since there are only two variants and conversion only going so far, I'm considering adding Orcs from the polearm and two handed weapon packs, with the integral bases removed and attached to slotted bases.

Something I noticed now, that I hadn't paid attention to before, is that the Ugezod troopers are wielding polearms left-handed, the standard-bearer holding it right-handed and a right-handed champion. Lefties crop throughout Rackham's ranges, but AFAIK mostly right-handed fighters from Citadel.

In my opinion yes, their compatible, I mix them freely in my Black Orc units and no one to date has mentioned any difference - so go for it. As for your second observation - they are, what they are you have to be a bit careful when ranking up your units but it's not really a problem.

Are you the author of the Old Orcs Never Die... blog?
I recently found this posting from 04/27/2013, Ol’Lund Dartfinger and the Knuckledragger gang, with these two pics of Ugezod's unit with converted troopers and about half Grenadier/Mirliton Orcs:

Wouldn't be an issue if the Orcs were looking in the direction of the shaft, then It'd be easy positioning lefties on the right and righties on the left. It makes base contact easier when the weapon is about 45 degrees horizontally from the body, but with the face looking straight ahead, I'd have to mount the figures almost gazing towards the center, in order to have the polearms close to perpendicular from the base - thinking of giving some pikes and adjusting the left/right arm so that the shaft is held vertically at about 45 degrees or more.

In answer to your question - no, I'm not the author of said blog, I simply don't think I'd have the time to post regularly.

Nice pictures by the way - the simple conversions are inspiring; so whoever Sean is (?), would in my opinion - fit-in here well.
