Lizardmen character figures

Hey everyone! I'm new to the scene and I'm using Whiskey Priest's post on how to start an Oldhammer army as my guide. I plan on making Bretonnian, Undead, and Lizardmen armies.

I have the plastic skinks and saurus from the fifth edition boxed set, but no character models. If I can't find any old-school minis for cheap on ebay, what are some suggestions for current figures to use as heroes or wizards for my Lizardman army?

If you're happy to stick with plastic and want to keep it inexpensive, I've take the arms and heads off a couple of the saurus and order some of the plastic command "bits" from the current lizardmen from an ebay seller. With a bit of conversion work (barely, really just kitbashing) you could have leaders, a battle standard and go crazy on feathers etc. for a wizard. Easy to make a wizard staff out of plastic bits.

If you want old models that are still available, you could try Grenadier/Mirliton. Not the cheapest, but probably looks the part:

New models, Reaper have plenty of lizardmen characters. Anything in "bones" is of course really cheap, if you don't mind the material.

GW Slyth, for some science-fantasy weirdness.

Maybe some Freebooters Amazons, for a mixed Lustrian warparty.

Don't forget the Tom Meier sculpts that were funded as part of Iron Wind's/Ral Partha Chaos Wars kickstarter, sadly only the lesser troglodytes got funded, but they also have some other lizardmen sculpts in their web store currently.
