Legion of the Damned devastator?

Hi, I was recommended this site to talk about old Warhammer minis, specifically because I have a trio of odd model that I found in a lot.

They look like second edition devastator, but the iconography and guns are adorned like legion of the damned. The bodies and guns are pewter. No details seem to be kitbashed to my knowledge, but I did not strip the models. If I'm correct, devastator were a upgrade sprue for tactical marine, but did it exist for legion of the damned? I found nothing like it online.

I would love to have your opinion on these model and find source about their existence in the past, if they were. Thank you in advance!

They are cool minis, and presumably conversions - don‘t recall there being any heavy weapons for LoD. Box set of standards minis with a mix of distance and close combat weapons, and then a stand alone limited edition Sergeant miniature.

Oh, so they're was heavy weapons legion of the Damned! Thanks angrygriffin to have found this catalogue page. It's nice to see I have the complete set also.

ah, 1999.. that would make some sense.. when the Legion of the Damned were going from a 'weird group who none-one knows who they are, where they come from or what they fight for' but appear in small groups to just a Space Marine Chapter.. nice enough figures though.

The flamer LOTD guy on that catalogue page was the last mini I bought in 99 or so before leaving the hobby and I still have it (after a 20 odd year hiatus in a friend’s cupboard when I couldn’t remember what I had done with my minis) - I have a lot of nostalgia for that catalogue page and the Scout snipers I bought not long before the flamer guy.
