Anyone ordered from Lancer recently? Been eyeing their RT style space orcs going out of production soon, but the website has gone out of action recently citing health reasons and the FB page is off too? https://lancerminiatures.com/

Can't say I know them. that does sound like something major is up for such a 'disable the site' situation. though it appears their name is hardly unique so.. tricky to find out much.

Don't read too much into it. The chap who owns the company used to be in some of the same gaming clubs that I was back in Hertfordshire. He's a few years older than me and my understanding is that Lancer is a mom & pop operation. Given this, it's understandable that one of them being ill would cause a suspension of operations.

They are a little larger than the classics. Will see if I can dig them out and take a photo alongside some others for reference.

I believe Aidan Boustred is the man you'd want to speak to. I heard early this year that Kieven was giving up running Lancer. Aidan is behind the Warfactory range that Lancer sold. He was looking for another outlet. I suggested Warblade, not sure if anything happened about that.

FWIW here are the minis alongside some classic Orks. They scale better than I remembered actually - maybe it was just the long arms I was remembering? Then again some of the classics are not exactly short limbed.

The webpage mentioned he was planning to stop selling the sci-fi range in September, but a week ago the whole site had the down for maintenance notice. Just wondered if anyone was aware. Spoke to Aidan at BOYL, he if more focused on 3d designs and prints though?

Even better than I thought! Not worried about the arms, orcs are supposed to be slightly inconsistent, even the background states how they grow larger depending on their status.

not since i got their orc archers, but that was years ago.
