If anyone is after an alternative for hard to track down/overpriced Slann Warhounds on ebay then these chaps from Mongoose Miniatures might fit the bill.

They are perfect really, very close to the originals. They would also make fine pets for space marine commanders.

Are they really that rare? I've ended up with about a dozen or so.

Yeah they are pretty hard to get. It's probably a case of the people who bought them really wanted them and are not going to give them up at this stage. I have a couple of them and Satan will be ice skating to work before I give them up. I have never seen one on ebay - in my limited experience at ebaying anyway. Having said all that I think these newer models are really nice and would use them instead of wasting time trying to find more cold one warhounds - that's time could be spent on other things like painting the mountain of figures that weighs guilty on my conscience .

Given the price of the other Klegg hounds on the site, it looks like they would run about $26/2 hounds from store to door.

These are up for sale finally HERE! Ordered a couple today &, at $15, they are definitely approachable.

So here is a comparison:

Really close & the Kleggs (clean casts btw) are basically a WFB 4th ed-style Slann warhound. The best part is that head swaps are a go!

I'm obligated to pick up more at this point.
