Wow, very good, the base is quite original, it looks like petrified magma or something just like if he's standing on a crater.
It really is a good mini though I have to say I didn't know it (who made it and what size is it?)
I actually love these dragons too, they're from Nick Bibby, also the spined dragon, beautifull piece also.
It's a bit scary to paint a dragon, never done before, and actually very entertaining...
Chicken dragon you say, well, first i have to find one hahaha... They're quite rare and crazy expensive !
I'd love to have one actually.
I didn't mention, but these old minis need a lot of work with greenstuff...
In regards to minis needing a lot of greenstuff to go together...
I wonder if in the olden days, the sculptors just sculpted a dragon and didn't take into consideration where it would be cut for molding? I've found with Nick Bibby's Dragon Ogres that it looks very much like they would fit perfectly if there was an amount of material the width of a saw blades' thickness where they join.
But maybe that's also why a lot of the old stuff seems more like art? It was made as art and was then made suitable for molding instead of being designed to mold easily?
Kegox is one of the best Citadel Dragon (with the Great Spined). Your paint job and the base are really nice.
Kaleb Daark make a good rider, good choice.
Thanks for the comments.
For Kaleb daark, quite true, i need to hide some greenish brownish paints, i kind of come back to them always... ^^
For the skin of the dragon, i started by a dry brush and then scale per scale on a light green, and used brown ink and black ink... so maybe too much.
I didn´t varnish it so maybe i´ll check again later to go back on them.
Since, i did 2 slight changes, first greenstuff on the saddle, i didn´like the hole i left...
Also did again the shield with greenstuff too, i really didn´like what i did before.
