Yet more Tzeentch. I have been trying for years to aquire a broken pink or blue horror so I could repair the bird headed Tzeentch champion but never could. So I gave up and here's the result he now has a bird head shield!. As always comments and criticism encouraged.

And by the way should I stick with the plain backdrops or revert to more scenic ones? The plain ones work for figure clarity but are a bit boring?

Nice! I really should add him to my chaos army project…

A plain background is fine, but perhaps crop the photo a little so more focused on the model? I have started modelling a little outcrop to mount my models for glamour shots. There is a free guide on Jon Hodgson’s webstore. https://handiwork.games/product/making-a-scenic-plinth-pdf
Thanks for that , the shot was already cropped I took the photo from a little far away and I try to follow Jon's guidance it certainly has improved my photography

Nice, can't go wrong with blue and gold! I'd probably add a wash to the sword/hilt to bring out the detail around the hilt and make it stand out a little more, either black or brown wash would do it. Shield was a good choice I think.

Thanks for the comment I have used a blue wash on the main body but haven't washed the sword I'll give it a go next time the paint is out.

Aha back to chaos warriors these two are part of my quest to develop a colour style/palette for my prospective redo of my "How to do Oldhammer" project. A monopose one and one with a spike. The spike one used DArk Star Molten Metals steel which turned out pretty well and was a delight to use. As I have the starter set I may very well use it for a group of warriors in a wide range of colours like my originals. Any thought?metal chaos warrior.JPGmetal chaos warrior r.JPGmonopose red trial.JPGmonopose red trial r.JPG

Wide range of colours is on point for chaos!
Would suggest one colour to tie them together as a unit tho?
Which chaos god are they following?

Wasn’t aware of that paint brand (or did and have forgotten… 😂), do you recommend them? Are they consistent across the ones in the box? Mentioned elsewhere, but am always on the lookout for a decent well flowing gold. They have some nice metallics in that range. Anyone else have experience using them?

nice work ^_^

I've always had mixed feelings on that plastic Chaos Warrior.. I can see how it's inspired by earlier metal ones with the helmet but... well.. that has never quite sat well with me. Might be cause I've never been a huge Khorne fan. He is kinda the bland God so most of his followers are.. equally bland.

I have only used this one but will be experimenting with the rest so keep an eye open . they include a metallic thinner in the pck so I'll check out the gold for you thinned with it.

One of my favourites because it is so easy to convert, if you check back in this rather lengthy post (?) you'll find nurgle types, a chaos dwarf and others based on it not to mention the "how to do" ones.
