High Elf dragon

Very nice, I like the contrasts you have, the white/blue and the red(orange)/blue. They make for a really nice model. I have a love/hate relationship with metal myself having spent the last few nights filing and trying to clean up mold lines on models! I do like the heft however!

here is how this started

My blog is not exactly easy to navigate owing in large measure to my very rudimentary IT skills.

Nice work. In answer to your metal question, it was much easier and cheaper for GW at the time to cast in metal. The plastic dragon came along shortly after in the form Talisman Dragon King and was instantly taken up for making assembly easier, with metal head and body parts to customise the basic kit. Injection moulding, especially then, was insanely expensive to tool up for so the required sale quantity was massive. That's why you get the plastics from AHQ, Blood Bowl etc. reused in different kits and the Talisman plastics released in boxes for toy shops.
