I rarely paint anything Oldhammer related these days it seems but every now and again I get to daub a classic.

I love that wizard so much, one of these days I'll nab one.. well that's what I'm telling myself hehe.

That is a magnificent paint job ... but you know that is not especially oldhammer though ... right? Thats the unreleased remake of the original oldhammer version.

...and what on earth is an "unreleased remake" ???
They made a remake of it ... then for whatever reason they decided not to release it.
(If only they had come to the same decision over Conan the Barbarian.)
My Guess would be that a training sculptor made it as a training piece and they could not find a reason to release it? I'll find out exactly what the story was ....

I like the original. Lots of charm.

Oh OK. Weird subject matter to return to. It's funny in an old school D&D way, but really doesn't jive with the 'grimdarkthereisonlywar' malarkey.

I thought much of the Jason Momoa Conan reboot (not remake) was quite good, certainly not as fun as the Arnold versions. The finale let it down, but a lot of the visuals worked. Then again I also liked the John Carter of Mars movie.
