Halfling Blood Bowl Team

It's been a while since I last had something I could show over here so it's nice to finally have some old (and not so old) Citadel stuff done (a commission job though). Bit of a mash up of 80's, 90's and more recent models with a couple of non-Citadel thrown in too.

Player numbers are all decals although being home printed I had to do a bit of over painting. Morg's shoulder pad number is one of my number decals and the wings are from an old space marine vehicle decal sheet. Lots of pics of everything over on my website (in the Blood Bowl folder in my gallery) and on my blog and Facebook page if you click the links in my sig. Some of the images are quite large so don't want to clog up the page here with them all.

Some fun stuff in that lot. Morg 'N' Thorg was great to paint up. Not really my era for ogres as I'm more of an 80's Goodwin/Olley fan but it was a really good sculpt for painting. I was a bit unsure what I thought of the modern branch wraith until I started painting it and then came to rather like it. The treemen are models that I hated back in the day but now having had them in front of me I really like them.

The bases are a little bare on grass towards the front of the models as they have magnets embedded in them which means the two 'balls' can be attached for play.

Luscious! The halflings just glow. I like those Treemen, but as a bit of a purist I'd like to have seen the 1980s Blood Bowl Trees or a shoulder pad added.

Gorgeous team, nice rich tones. Very jealous ;) Halflings were my team of choice (and will be again). The Hamburger Horrors.

They look amazing - I love the way you treated the yellow. It looks gorgeous.
The turkey football and the toad are other great touches. Well done.
I hope the paintjob assists them on the playing pitch... (although I doubt it).
Congrats

Wonderful! I have my orc and human teams for bloodbowl but I always wanted halflings. Get's me inspired to transfer "The Wurst" from my computer playing Bloodbowl leagues to the tabletop.
But given that I couldn't even win with my greenskins maybe that ain't the best idea.

Wonderful team ! that smooth finish of yours never ceases to amaze me. I have o problme with the treemen , I think they suit just fine here and actually like to have a part of the team that is darker, it emphasises th ediffere,ce between them and the helflings (just personnal taste). The ref though seems someho out of place. The chef as a cook is just splendid.

Gorgeous army, now I just need to repeat to myslef "I'll never get into BB EVER, I'll never..."

Re: AW: Halfling Blood Bowl Team

Do you really use them in a game?
Great choice of models!
Great paintjob!
Thanks for posting the pic.

Thanks for the comments. They're not my models but they are destined for a playing field somewhere later this month. Hope they bring the owner good dice rolls.

I'd have liked to have seen a shoulder or knee pad here and there on the treemen and branchwraith just to make them a bit more Blood Bowly, but I just do what I'm told. ;)

Oh my, your painting is so SMOOTH! Great mix of models, nice bases and a really professional look to the whole thing. I'm sure the new owner is thrilled.
