Gut Rippa

One last thing from me here:

I'm building a Gut Rippa for my Space Orks. I have been at it for some time now, but I have not begun painting yet.

Drunken Ork and Snotlings having a party on the back of the thing

Ork tools. Notice the invaluable chopped off hand that goes in all real Ork tool kits.

Improved targeting system

A Snotling 'Graffiti artist' has made a tag on the turret. He will be in for some serious trouble once the Orks find him. I imagine coloured foot steps leading from the spray cans to the snot.

Lovely, full of very good ideas. I don't understand if th eback of the turret has he ork party or the tools? anyway, very orkish (from what I understand of orkiness) and great modeeling skills at display.
PAINT IT, NOW !

It will have both!

These images are from many different stages of the build... not a very thankful way to present it to new people, I know.

I hope I shall be able to make amends and paint it proper. I'm really just trying to figure out how to undercoat it. I normally paint on my undercoat, but I think I have to use spray for this.

Its going to look fantastic :)

I was given a Defiler as a gift about five years ago. Since I first saw this project I have been considering pillaging that kit and sticking claws onto some Ramshackle Games pieces.

Im sure that you know this already, but propellant in spray cans will attack the visible foam in the foamcore elements that I think that I can see in the shots of the turret with the Blood Axe poking out of it.

Shred the defiler, shred the defiler!!!

There is in fact no foamboard or other polystyrene foam on the piece yet. I might try an Armypainter brown spray for the undercoat... but I would also like to try out airbrushing.
