Thought I'd ask the collective modelling brain for any suggestions on repairing a Space Marine I'd picked up. This fella:

Now he's been stripped of the thick layer of paint I see the shoulder has been filed into - well that's easy enough to fix (at least it was never studded). The difficult bit will be the chainsword. So it looks like someone was trying to perhaps convert it into a normal sword and has taken off most of the teeth.
I figure my options are either to tidy up the conversion and just put more of an edge on the sword to balance it out a bit, or attempt to repair it. A modern chainsword is far too bulky and I suspect carving the teeth off a plastic one might just be a path to madness. Sculpting on new teeth is an option of course, but I'm not sure my skills are quite up to that with green stuff (or maybe one of the other putties that holds a sharper edge). Not quite sure how I'd go about sculpting teeth yet of course - any tips?
Anyhow would appreciate any thoughts on approaches (even if I may lack the skill!) or other options. Couple of photos attached (sorry there is another marine propping up our friend in the last shot).
Thanks all.
