He's a humourous, characterful sculpt which is at least halfway towards Oldhammer in my book. It really depends how you use him. ;)

Never played a game in my life,I'll be quite happy just to paint him. Gc

He is a lovely model based on a gorgeous piece of 1980s gaming art by Larry Elmore, miniatures don't get much more Oldhammer than that.

impressive... you just happen to remember seeing a giant featuring in the background on the cover of a rpg magazine in the 80'

One of my favorite covers - that and the one with the Dwarf with the beer shield.

Very nice one and definetly have the "oldhammer" look.
Where's this miniature from? Name?

http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/

http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop ... giant.html

Formerly Ral-Partha from the 90's, now Darksword. The human sized figures can be bought from RP's Ironwindmetals, though I'm too lazy to look them up now :)

With this one, and a couple of the other "Elmore Masterworks" and Tam Lin fairy, I'd love to have the miniatures displayed in front of a print of the artwork. I bought the "Chaos Warrior on Lizard Mount" from RPE recently when they had it on clearance with that in mind.

Sure am glad I got mine from Ebay, over $30.00 cheaper, whew. Search for giants on ebay and you should find one. Gc

This thread is a great example why I love the Oldhammer Forum and community...

Cant wait to see some paint on him!

Umm Im supposed to paint him ,oh no Im in trouble now. I've been looking at him all primered up for a year now but am hoping to throw some paint on him soon. There is a really nice one in the "Da Warpaths" gallery of giants, the one that made me get him in the first place.

Great image, I presume it´s Bruenor & his fellows (Drizzt, Wulfrik & Regis) from the Legend of Drizzt series, hadn´t seen this pic before.

Looking forwards to see some paint on the giant!
