Foundry Miniatures ex-Citadel Minis help

Hi all,

looking at doing a retro Empire or Bretonnian army using the ex-Citadel Perry sculpts miniatures that are on the Foundry site https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/

Trying to figure out how the ranges correspond.

From what I can tell the Wars of Religion section are Empire, whilst Feudals and Men-at-Arms are more Brets. How accurate am I on this? How much range coverage do I get?

cheers

Just a point to mention, the wars of religion range are actually from when Citadel did historical ranges, so they're not technically Empire as such, I think they were just listed as 'Medievals' when they were Citadel, from memory. They're also very old preslotta era models, and closer to 'true 25mm' scale, than the later '28mm heroic', so there's a noticeable size difference between that range and anything from the GW slotta era.

The Feudals range are later minis and so larger, and more in keeping with 'classic' Citadel Empire and Brets, and there's a mix of them in there. WF have an 'Ex-Citadel' catalogue page, so you can see what they've got, as some of the Cannon etc are also in there.

Pretty sure those models being sold at Foundry Man-at-Arms range are the bulk of what Dave Andrews is using as Bretonians in the Warhammer Armies book, so it's bang on for a retro-army.

Thanks for the help folks.

Any idea how the cavalry hold up for Bretonians?

Foundry aren't selling the same combinations of mount /riders as sets as Dave is using in the photos, but they look like the exact same models to me.

Just to clarify some of the ex-Citadel line are still slotta, they have just had their tabs removed and new flat non slotta bases added. I have some of these from the original citadel made line and they have tabs. That's not to say all of them were slotta but some def were.

Currently MED106 - Armoured Infantry 3.

Wars of the Roses / 15th Century Men at Arms Sort this range:
All
These Late Medieval or Wars of the Roses models were sculpted by Michael and Alan Perry and originally released by Citadel Miniatures as C26 Men At Arms and C34 Medieval Cannons in 1984.

All mounted knights from this range are now supplied with cast lances.

28mm scale metal miniatures. ( no way those are 28mm more like true 25mm )

The tab simply has KNIGHT on the front and 1984 on the back.
