Fantasy "oldschool" Troll for Crooked Claw Miniatures!

Hi! Some break from my RT range , and I have had the great opportunity to work for Crooked Claw , continuing the Kev Adams line...such a responsability

I'm working on some trolls , they will resemble the old Citadel Trolls , loose bodies , Evil/stupid faces , long limbs....

Some adjustments needs to be done on the weapon ans the whole thing still a WIP , but you can have a look.
Comments will help as always!

I'm really liking the pose and expression. Skin is also just textured the good way (not too much, not too little).

Just 2 points I'm more reserved about :

- The mace is clearly on the big side, this may not be a problem but I'd rather have something slimmer
- The belly is nice but hangs form too low, I would rather have it "hang" from higher to show its weight and to avoid having that contrats betwen a muscular chest and as fat belly if you see what I mean.

Still is a model I'd love to paint

The mace will be fixed to look less heavy and more like a piece of branch or broken wood.

The chest and overall body is not so muscular , trust me the pic just stuck on every shadow,for the belly I just want to represent how full of fluids and other disgusting things are their stomachs

Size is similar to old trolls, fit perfect on a 40 mm base

I actually realised it's lighted from above and therefore must exagerate shapes indeed For the belly, it looks good seeing things this way. I'd like to see an obese troll but in th eline of the old citedel series once.
Great work anyway and it's always so nice to see an artist genuinely caring about other people's opinion.

I'll like to do a fatter troll too , but must to keep connection with the old ones , maybe if I have the chance to sculpt a leader , I can make him fatter and
add some ragged armour too

p.s. the pedant in me just has to point out that trolls loose their regeneration ability if they wear metal armour.

Considering 99% of orcs, gobs and trolls sculpted to look like Kev Adams stuff are crap , you are actually doing a pretty good job. It looks very compatible in style without being a lame copy. There's something a bit odd about the ears though. Maybe the angle going down?

Ah true...as the rules evolved that became true...but citadel itself sculpted trolls with armor...as with the warrior troll that James talked about on his blog a few weeks ago...so there is precedent.

Also, I'd never really noticed how anatomically correct the rest of the FTT line are - by which I mean their penises are hanging out The C20 Trolls don't. Now there's a design feature for Diego and Crooked Claw to chew on!
