F4 Mercenaries

Hope these count as Oldhammer!

As some of you might already know, I recently took up employment with Wargames Foundry, and these are 2 packs that have been re-released by us recently as WA1 and WA2. They were however, originally known as the F4 Mercenaries range by Citadel. This is our two packs of 7, with the added extra of an old Citadel fighter, 'Epstein', I had knocking around to make the unit up to 15.

These are basically the first 'staff' figures I've picked up, and so painted them to celebrate getting the job. My eventual aim is to build up a whole 3rd Edition Empire Army, using WF figures that were previously available from Citadel during the era.

Well, I don't see how these couldn't count as oldhammer and they are really lovely !
The desaturated yellow and blue work really well to give th eworn-out look for these mercenaries and they are easily "readable". Great work.

Probably not, my idea is to have unit schemes based on the colours of the noble/city that supplies them, so whilst several units might have the same colour scheme, there will be other, wildly contrasting ones in there as well.

These are effectively a peasant levy, hence the mismatched, hand-me-down uniforms and overall filthy appearance.

Hmm, looking at the pic: Talisman Archaeologist, RT Psyker, two RT Imperial Guard, Custom 'Carl McCoy' Figure, Bob Olley Confrontation figure, Eldar Warrior, Squat, Ork Shaman from Chapter Approved and a scratchbuilt Servitor.

Mostly test paint schemes/unfinished though!

Lovely stuff DM.
I'm working through the guys too at the moment (primarily yellow/blue as well coincidentally), I added Albi and Gim from the Lichemaster set to turn them into the Frugelhofen militia.
