Empire with Foundry

Hi guys,
I've seen a few post about this but nothing too clear. I'm looking to build an Empire army for 3rd and possibly 4th edition rules. Foundry seems to have some nice models at reasonable prices that might work for this.

For a HELBLITZEN unit: https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collect ... ed-pikemen
for a HAKBUTSCHUTZEN unit: https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collect ... quabusiers
for a FORSTJAEGER unit: https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collect ... 07-archers
for TEMPLE RITTERIRUDEN: Possibly https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collect ... -gendarmes or https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collect ... r-horsemen
ARMBRUSTSCHUTZEN https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collect ... rossbowmen

There are quite a few others in the https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collections/men-at-arms collection also.
Any thoughts on this?
Regards,

Foundry should probably produce an 'oldhammer army guide', matching their ex-Citadel figures to the artwork.

I think the original Empire army lists for 2nd Edition were based mostly around the '84 man-at-arms range, in terms of troop types, arms and armour, but a few from the Feudals and War of Religions, as there are a mix of historical types. Most of that transferred across to the 3rd Edition Empire.

These are quite like the illustration in the Armies book

STADTSKNECHTES https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collect ... -knights-1
Need some crests added to the helms - n.b. the big crests is what differentiates Empire from Brettonians, who don't have them, maybe headswap with the foot-knights.

Although in the photo in Ravening Hordes for 2nd Edition, the models all appear to be Citadel Fighters / Heroic Fighters of the Known World, rather than the historicals ranges.

Look right.

Unsuprisingly the 'missing' are the lower ranking militia, LANDESTURM and FLEGLERS, which are based on the 2nd Edition, '87 Warhammer Citadel Fighters:

Foundry don't have those, or haven't re-released them if they do.

I know asked about Foundry, but modern plastics and doing a bit of conversion, Perry Miniatures Mercenaries and other WR sets look very useful and inexpensive way to build an Empire Army.
