Deathwing minis in White Dwarf

I'm digging through my WD collection looking for a bunch of Terminators converted into Deathwings -these specifically had had Genestealer Hybrid faces grafted on to them. Can't for the life of me find them (I think they're in a group shot). Must be around WD 122 somewhere, anyone know which issue or got a pic?

cheers!

They look pretty cool. That original Deathwing fluff and story was some of my favourite 40k stuff, back in the day. I like the freehand designs, feel you don't see that so much on more modern GW stuff.

And the native American thing is really at odds with the brooding Monks of eternal shame that they morphed into.

Love the line up you made Zhu.

Cheers Erny, bit of scanning and photoshop. Funny thing is that's how I remember seeing them, not as they actually are as Steves scan shows. Lol!

I think the Deathwing story is still part of the Dark Angels background, but it's relegated to being a 'myth', and the Dark Angels recruit from more world than just the one of the Plains People. Still, there's nothing in the current designs that really speaks to this part of their heritage, which is a shame really.

One of the things I like best about Rob Bakers models is that he used Genestealer Hybrid faces, which puts a weird twist on the Deathwing story. I imagine these models represent the Terminators who stayed behind. If I ever get back into 40k, I think that would be the project I'd most likely undertake, some Plains People led by a handful of Terminators, perhaps some other exotic untis...

With the terminator suits altered by the years and poor maintenance, this would be utterly brilliant indeed!
