Dark Elf Coach / Sinister Eldar Trader

Hi all, finished off this fine little chap last night:

His primary purpose is to act as a coach for my Dark Elf Blood Bowl team, but he could also masquerade as some sort of Space Elf trader I guess ;)

The model is a largely unaltered Eldar trader from the Rogue Trader adventurers range; all I did was cover up the holstered pistol with a pouch on his hip so he wasn't too incongruous in a Blood Bowl setting.
 
I'm sure this model was designed as a fantasy model first and only received a gun later to fit RT. You're just getting hm back to his place. He is o-lovely and has just the right look you'd expect from a dark elf coach.
 
It wouldn't surprise me if he was originally a fantasy sculpts - after all it is just the pistol that makes him a sci-fi figure.

I wish Citadel had made more pieces like this back in the day. I just love neutral non-combatants which add so much depth to a range.

I cannot agree more, it's actually what makes the rogue trader adventurers such a great range.
 
Nice PJ on a lovely figure. Good sympathetic conversion, too.

I wish I could find my figure of him, he's been lost in the warp-dimensions of my leadpile for a couple of years, now! :mad:
 
Not a figure im familiar with but looks great. Great coach pose, cant tell if the team are do good or bad from those features.
 
Thanks guys! I agree firebreather, the team performance isn't obvious from his expression - perhaps he always pulls that face? ;)

@dieselmonkey - in theory the conversion is reversible as the pistol is still intact underneath the pouch.
