Crimson Fists

About a year ago I decided to start a beakie heavy space marine force, as I love the old school knightly dog snout helmeted look.
When deciding upon the chapter I suppose the rogue trader poster boys, the Crimson Fists doesn't come as a surprise. I mean what's not to love? They look cool, have a great color scheme and their last stand badassness always makes me remember the siege of Alamo.

So I've been trying to get as many beakies and old school marines as possible for a year now, and I almost have all of the core of my army which consists of two tactical squads and a devastator squad.

I currently have two fully done models.

Terminator Captain Fabio, standing proudly on his goblin green base which needs another coat I suppose.

And brother Lieutenant Inigo Montoya

Here they are posing next to my devastator squad which is not done, so you may ignore them.
Seeing them all together makes me wonder... what the frack kind of base did I put Inigo on?
I'm still experimenting what colour to make their eye lenses.

My first tactical squad. I need more metal miniatures to complete them. The devastator squad consists mostly of the 80s plastic beakies.

My second tactical squad is also a few miniatures short. I decided to put these guys in Mark VII power armour as I'm painting them up as veterans.

The Crimson Fists prepare to battle heresy, as a sister of plastic shamelessly enters the scenery.

Until next time.

I really like that dark blue, the way you've done it really makes it look reflective.

Thank you, I opted for a drybrush rather than the traditional edge highlighting.

Although the two unfinished sergeants next to the unpainted marines have been wetblended. They look cleaner on the photos. But the drybrushed ones look better in reality.
Red always comes up pinkish on my photos for some reason, but the hands are actually quite dark.
