Crimson Fists Terminators

In response to my recent Space Hulk Battle Report Zhu asked if I could do some close up shots of the Terminators I used in the campaign. I currently have 25 second edition Terminators as part of my large Crimson Fists force, and these venerable warriors see frequent battle whether it be on the battlefields of second edition 40k or clearing the genestealer infested corridors of Space Hulks:

The majority of the squads are armed with bolters and heavy weapons though one outfit are packing a variety of close combat weapons for melee warfare!

My next unit will probably have a cyclone missile launcher as this is the one Terminator weapon system that I am lacking!

Cheers mate,

I have to say I am really happy with how these guys look when fielded together... Considering they've been painted piecemeal over a decade and a half with two different citadel paint ranges!!

Ah, thanks for showing these off, really nice classic paint scheme, quite captures the texture of John Sibbecks RT cover. The individualised shoulder markings really give them personality and history. I like.

Cheers Zhu, I'm really happy with how they turned out. In fact since I put them together for this pic I've decided to add another few squads to bulk out their numbers further!

These look superb and are great inspiration for my burgeoning Space Hulk project. Thanks for sharing them with us in more detail and I look forward to future additions.

Cheers Blue! I have to say I really like these old second edition sculpts, when I get around to painting a few more I'll make sure I post them. Which edition of space hulk will you be building?

I'm working on a deal to acquire first edition and Deathwing as we speak. I'm looking for a quick game that still has that "oldschool" feel but doesn't require a ton of figures and an ton of time to play....this sounds like the perfect fit. I never played Hulk back in the day but was exposed to a couple of games at last years Oldhammer in the New World and it got me thinking...

Cheers,

First edition is the best edition!! Space Hulk was the game that got me (and a generation of hobbyists) into playing with you soldiers for those very reasons, it's fun, fast and can be played with a handful of troops as opposed to massed legions of lead!
