Coop's Dark Future Paintlog

Not great pics I'm afraid, but the second of my Maisto Porsche-to-GenTech Interceptor conversions. This survivalist-style Interceptor is operated by the independent Sanctioned Op (and NRA Life President) Theodore Nugent operating out of Jackson, MI. Basically I decided to do a camo Interceptor in a more post-apoc style and then wondered who in the DF universe would drive it. As the books state that rock and roll was banned after a three day riot I decided that The Nuge needed an outlet...

Used some original DF weapons on this one.

Great stuff. This thread is really motivating me to get back to my Dark Future stuff. Arrrgggghhh so many projects!!!

Where are you getting all those blue interceptors from ... I can't find them.

That stuff is really looking good Coopdevil. I was planning to drag my own car mods out of the parents basement and see if I could improvise DF from rules found online and those old cars. Forgot them there, but there will be further opportunities. Love it. Keep it up.

Sainsburys. They are in a box, the sort where the box they are shipped in has the lid torn off to form the display box. Seems to be one 956 per box, most of the Sainsburys I've been in have two boxes on the shelves. This is the major/larger branches of the supermarket, not looked in smaller ones.

I'd been painting my 20mm Chainsaw Warrior (the one that appears in some of my pics as a scale indicator) and the coat of PVA & sand on the base was drying when I heard the saw news that Brett Ewins had passed away after what appears to have been quite a lot of shit towards the end of his life :(

Decided it needed finishing off pronto.

Well, that's been a while! Got sidetracked with a 2e Silver Skulls project. Anyway, two sessions spent on an old "Racing Legends" 1955 Chevy produced this.

Lots of Typhus, Ryza, and general weathering. I'm not 100% sold on the yellow rocket pod, this was originally olive green but looked like a giant cucumber

The red-tinted front and rear screens are based on something I've seen done on 1950s drag-racing "gassers" where those two screens were tinted with translucent coloured plastic, and the sidescreens left clear.

Look great really like the double stacked car as well. Never got around to trying DF though have owned and then sold the figures a number of times over the years.
