Classic Chaos Daemons: Work in progress

Greetings all.

I wasn't originally going to start a WIP thread, since I prefer to show completed stuff on forums and reserve the WIP stuff for my blog. However, it turns out that I'm as fickle as the winds of Chaos, so welcome to my WIP thread!

Just a quick post to begin with. This is what I'm working on at the moment:

A converted Plague Drone champion. This one is using a bunch of new plastics (heresy), as well as a chopped up bit of classic lead (ultimate heresy!):

The champion is built from an old palanquin of Nurgle rider, with some more modern components and a bit of green stuff.

Also blocked in some colours on this guy:

An old Jes Goodwin champion to serve as a herald of Tzeentch on foot.

Comments are most welcome!

I actually like the rider a lot ! Very nice use of the palanquin rider !

For the second picture, forgive me but I didn't know the expression "throwing some paint" could be taken that literally !

Haha oh be nice  That's about as scrappy as it gets though, I agree. Just blocking in some colours to give myself an idea, but I promise he'll get the treatment he deserves in the end!

Glad you like the plague drone rider, I was pleased with how he turned out actually (wasn't sure how it would come together). I'd like to add the disclaimer that he was already pretty badly damaged before I chopped him up ;)

Greetings all.

A few WIP pics and what I'm currently working on.

Nurglings:

I built up their bases with a bit of cork to bring them more in line with the height of the current models.

To do list:

So much to do... And this is only *most* of the stuff I have undercoated and ready to go. Doesn't even cover the stuff I don't have cleaned or assembled yet... Busy busy!

Greetings all.

Got the rest of my cultists ready for painting:

And I've also been experimenting with press moulding to fix a headless flesh hound:

Comments are welcome!

I think most of us that start such things, have pretty much the same thoughts as we realize what we've done :o  :o :? 8-)
