Chaos Dwarf Bazooka

I'm feeling a bit silly... I finally got my hands on a chaos dwarf bazooka team for reasonable money and couldn't resist the urge to drill out the bazooka barrel (you know, so the rocket can pass through properly  )
Just out of curiosity - has anyone else felt the need to do this??

No never felt the urge...before now! it looks very precise, and fairly wide bore, did you do that by hand? I'd be scared of going through the side and ruining it.

Spring load a rocket in there. Now you've drilled it you owe it to the rest of us to get it firing.

Classic H.G. Wells old school wargaming, toy soldiers firing real projectiles!

Not sure I'm clever enough to spring load something - I'll have to see if I can find some very small bottle rockets around the 4th of July...
Also, I'm rather pleased with how well the loader lines up with the barrel.
I drilled it by hand using an old "egg beater" style hand drill(this one).

I used a spring clamp to get a grip on the miniature, and as the drill requires two hands, I recruited my daughter to hold it steady. Started with a smaller bore first (3/32 inch), and had several starts and stops as the drill would bind up in the soft lead. Once that initial bore was through, I went back and widened it with a larger bit (1/8 inch). I have to admit, I was a bit nervous doing it, but I'm very pleased with the result.

The picture on Stuff of Legends is a bit small, but I'm pretty sure that's the right loader for the C22 Bazooka team.

Bazooka team finished. Pleased with the results. Decided the horns on the loader's helmet looked more like big floppy ears, and so painted them an appropriately Tzneechian pink.
