Card Buildings?

Just cut up my Lichemaster buildings, out of the mint set I got off ebay. (Difficult decision to do so, but what the hell, time to get playing! )

Any advice/tips before I start putting them together? They wont see a ton of action or travel, but I'd like them to last and to look as good as possible.

Thanks!

Good call, Chris! =D No real tips, but one thing they might benefit from is to put them on a proper plasticard base or similar. Something properly rigid. Also, strengthening the corners on the inside of the houses.

Finally, don't forget to colour in edges and score lines.

There are some great tips for this in the front of the third ed rule book, a couple of pages worth if I remember correctly. Tips straight from the horses mouth as it were.

Mine have survived 20 odd years, four house moves and years in a box in the loft. The card they used on the old Warhammer buildings is actually pretty decent. You can always reinforce longer sections internally if you need to. I based mine on the cardboard you get at the back of a notebook that's about 1mm thick. As phreedh mentions paint down the edges where you scored lines to bend corners.

a lot of those old card building really do last a lifetime, I had the 4th ed tower which lasted about 15 years before I lost it, I've been tempted to model up the buildings printed in the old journals myself, though in my case, I've scanned them at high res to print them out....
