Can anyone help?

Hi Folks,

Hoping the combined wisdom of the community can help here!

I'm looking for an image of the Classic Space Ork Warphead that was part of the GW Studio collection in the early 1990s. I'm working on an army that replicates some of these classic colour schemes and need some source material. That's this guy:

He's not in the codex, the 2nd Edition rulebooks or even the Dark Millennium book. Does anyone have a picture they could send me or know of a White Dwarf he's featured in that I could try and hunt down on eBay?

Thanks guys

Just going off of what's in my own head here, but I think you'll find he's not in the 2nd ed books, dark millennium or the Ork codex because he's from a couple of years after came out- I think 1995 or 96.

I'll have a geez through the WD's I have access to, I'll be back.

Thanks Steve that's exactly what I was needing. Good to know GW still have some of them kicking about too.

If you have any luck with your White Dwarfs please give me a shout Bruno.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find him anywhere in a WD, though my collection isn't the best.
I have a feeling he would be around the 180's.

Fortunately, there are legends like Steve here who can fix you up with pics probably much better than in the mag...but I wish I never looked because I realised how crap my Orks look compared to those

Thought I'd hijack this thread instead of making another, as the title is fitting enough.

What's the story with the MM97 Marauder Beastmen?

I've looked on SOL and the CCM wiki and the most info I can get is they were/are "ill documented", though I'm sure I've heard something about them before, is it because they are despised?

Ta, CVB

Re: AW: Can anyone help?

I don't think there is a story.
It was that steelhorn beastmen regiment, right?
Command group plus champion with troops consisting of two flat poses, armed with hw, shield and javelin. Came in one of those clear plastic boxes.
A white dwarf release with miniatures that looked less grim than than the citadel stuff from that time. Actually they looked quite cute with their stubby swords and the white fur made the leader look like a sheep in the advertising.
Main issue besides the looks: there was no armylist supporting beastmen with javelins.

I don't know but maybe there's something in this. To (my teenage) mind the great thing about marauder was that they produced models to deliberately match the lists in Warhammer Armies (hammerers, ironbreakers etc.) so a regiment with an option you couldn't take does seem slightly out of place. And of course the additional four sculpts were all hand weapon and shields.

Ardyer: If you've got any that go beyond the 'extra' four on the CCM I'm sure a few of the marauder complet-ists around here would be interested ;)

Thanks guys, I have about ten of the suckers in the dip as I type.
They should be ready to come out tomorrow, I'll see if any of them aren't pictured on the CCM page.
