Cairns Army of Kemler the lichemaster

Hi guys,

Somehow, Kemler remains my favourite mini with his background and all.
The Cairns army is fun to play with and against.

I recently wanted to build for the 2nd time that army. The first time I sold them but no regrets, this one is much nicer :)
I painted all except kemler and the cavalry which was already painted.

Here we go with the pictures then.

I start first with kemler himself and krell.

Wonderful looking force! Undead seems very popular these days around here....I can see why with armies that look this good.

Nice choice of colors, and the shields from the new range looks very good on the old minis.
 
Lovely looking minis. Does everyone have an original Kremmler ;) ? Is that Saurons throne on the back of the chariot?
 
Hi,

Yes it is Sauron throne. I liked it but didn't know what to do with first. First supposed to go on the Keggox dragon, but nor enough space.
The chariot alone looked too simple, so i just added up the throne and it gives more a king like mini, which should be ;)

An other Kemler in the French Empire !! It's an Undead migration, that's good News for French collectors :)
The paint job is really good 8-) The Chaos warriors in Grey are the Graveyard Statues?

Those chaos warrior ghosts bring a tear to my eye though :cry:
 
Lovely army and a nice mix of ranges and colours too. Although with Kemler as the General I was just grateful you hadn't used Marauder Chaos Dwarfs or some other equally sought after stuff as the spirit host.
If your Winged Nightmare is a converted Emperor Dragon I don't want to know ;).

Looking forward to seeing more.
 
Hi,

For the snow, it´s a very simple PVA glue application and then use synthetic snow. Painting the base with blue gives also a great icy effect using less snow.

For the chaos warriors, i just got too many of them :lol:

Once i finished adding up 50 of them, i didn´t know what to do, so spirit host it is !!!
But anyway, this Cairns army is a good way to use those old minis i had no real use and i didn´t want to sell as well.

For the winged nightmare, well...it is a real wing nightmare, dun worry, i didn´use my kegoxx or else for that, i keep them for better use ;)
