I painted a pre slotta C01 Chaos Fighter ispired by the paint scheme of the same fighter from the undead diorama as seen on page 180-181 of the 3rd edition rulebook by John Blanche. Mid 80s.

I love this guy. When I first got the 4th Ed Undead Armies Book I hadn't ever seen the Krell miniature so this chap from the Blanche diorama became my vision of what Krell should look like with his armour and his black axe. I just finished painting up my Krell in the same scheme:
