But I luuuurv you

What is everyone’s favourite model in their collection?

It does not have to be the one you like the paintjob of most, or the one you think has the nicest sculpt.

Just the one that for whatever reason you like the most?

I think I have narrowed mine down to about 3 or 4, but still not sure.

I did think that my expensive original Heinrich Kemmler would be in the running due to cost.
But it seems not, maybe when he is painted that will alter it.
Mine are definitely influenced by childhood feels the most.

Probably...

This turned out to be even tougher than anticipated but for a different reason than I first thought.
I expected having to choose the coolest sculpt but soon realized that wasn't the case; I've got plenty of miniatures I like a lot, both because of their sculpt and/or being particularly happy with the paint job. However, looking at my painted minis none jumped out as 'this is the one" and thinking of all the unpainted ones, well, many of them are in category of 'I definitely want to paint this at some point" i.e. lovely sculpts but none that would cut the painting que. This left me thinking it must be something more than nice sculpt or nice paint job to be special enough - the feels and memories.

I could have gone with some miniature that meant clear improvement in my painting skills but the one I chose feels more comprehensive; converted noble for my Mordheim Dwarf Treasure Hunters warband.
I'm sure this conversion has been done number of times but I had not seen (and don't remember ever seeing) similar conversion of this organ gun crew member and was really stoked coming up with the idea. Besides the simple conversions I was probably happy with paint job (and it still looks ok, even if not up to my current standard) and he lead my warband of stunties through thick and thin (usually by giving useful advice and mental support from the back, as any sensible commander does) - whether it was a grand victory or taking a beating. Naturally this miniature brings back memories of playing the game and having a good time, which really are the main reasons for choosing it.

It is a tidy paintjob and the conversion is not obvious so well done.
The most important thing though, what is his name?

Also, are you sure he is not a devious ratman in disguise?

Also, also, is it put back away or are you still looking at it?

Cheers. :)

Oh man, it's been so long that I had to dig out old roster sheet to check! If this is the correct one, his name was/is Thorgil Arnason (I must admit that I didn't usually use same name for same mini forever - if they died, they died and their clone takes their place with new identity).
Warband's name was 'Thorgil's Royal Rescue Party' and I didn't remember that one either. Supposedly it was part of the backstory why they were in Mordheim - searching some young and foolish dwarf prince who'd ventured there looking for an adventure?
I remember creating extensive and most dramatic backstory of Thorgil suffering from PTSD caused by fighting in the tunnels against skaven/goblins for such a long time and as consequence becoming insomniac, paranoid and slightly out of it. Just the man you'd want searching your lost son, right?!
I thought it would create interesting possibilities story wise as, depending how games went, his men might start to question his ability of leading them and this would cause all kinds of problems in group dynamics.

Also, are you sure he is not a devious ratman in disguise?
Could be! Who can say what he's hiding behind that beard and indeed if it's a real beard to begin with.
Might also be he adopted tactics used by skaven when fighting them - if it's good enough for them...

Also, also, is it put back away or are you still looking at it?

I did give it a good look before entombing it back in the drawer. Aww yeah, nostalgia. :)

Had a look at the other roster sheets and I'll share a few names with you guys; Pit fighter called Brad Pittfighter and an ogre called Lou Vitonen (a wordplay in finnish; luu = bone, vitonen = fiver i.e. knuckle sandwich.

Skaven DoomWheel. My painting skills are absolutely average but I have always loved the model and the idea of a mobile lightning tank powered by rats.
