Blood Bowl Hobgob's

Been a while since I last posted anything as I've not had much in the way of Oldhammer to show but here's a commission I've been working on recently. 90's (?) BB hobgoblins, sort of Oldhammer... kind of.... Almost finished apart from the bases which need a bit of grass adding and some number decals for their shoulder pads.

The muted paint jobs suit these much better than the bright green & red GW used back in the 1990s. Suddenly they look dour and rather threatening!

Lovely stuff, excellent colours and that blending is superb. Those models actually look good now!

I will be using that image as a reference in the future!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have to admit that when it comes to Blood Bowl I certainly prefer the 80's stuff but these models have painted up quite nicely and the sculpts aren't at all bad (but if there were 80's versions they'd be better ;) ).

I've found that Morley models are much more attractive once you've actually painted one for yourself. I hated his ghouls, but after painting a few I quite liked them. Same for his whfb zombies. Stunning work, btw!

Generally, it's the oversized spiky weapons and moarskullz that put me off to be honest, well, that and the tendency to sculpt mummies and lichs that look like they probably died from an overdose of steroids :)
Grrrr, I'm back from the grave and ripped! Do you even lift human!
