Black Orc
I was never a fan of the figures released in the 91-98+ period. I looked in the Games workshop windows but had long since ceased going in.
in 2019 an old pal sent me a huge amount of his old orcs. He wanted to give them but I didn’t send him some money for them because frankly, he was GIVING a lot. anyway, in the collection was some black orcs, a few were sculpted by Bob Olley, which I kinda dig, but there were a couple that may be the work of Trish Morrison as was now Carden. Trish’s work is awesome and I love 99% of models but I just never loved these. They seemed out of scale..even Olley’s were out scale…but they looked like hairy grinning monkeys, so were more lovable.
Regardless…I resolved to paint the figures and this is the first of them. I think you can tell that I don’t love it….because the painting just isn’t as good as my other stuff, or at least I don’t feel happy with it.
It is what it is …ya conna polish a turd, as they say.
