Because I'm a sad sad man...........

A bit, but there were signs before...

I find myself checking amazon and my lokal gamesstore. I´ll need nearly as many as you.

I should simply blame you for it ;)

Alphabetically?

Pure points cost or points cost by item type?

It's a good idea except as I mentioned on dear brothers blog I would keep my power cards as a pack, it would be a pain to have to remove them and put them back every game.

points cost by item type

Alphabetical is the most non sense way to do this? Erny you're a scientific like me, just imagine Mendeleiev's periodic table orderec alphabetically... that's what a female chemist would do come on.

I do it by points cost and then alphabetically.

At best it would be a once a week job to re-file the power cards, it's not that much of a pain when you think about it.

oh yes, sorry, by type, then points cost then alphabetically.

The Spells I did slightly differently, I did all of the colour decks first, sorting them alphabetically (ignoring "The"). Next came the Chaos Decks and then they go alphabetically by alpha of the deck name. The only real exception is at the end where I have a section of the four original Chaos decks and then the three Necromantic Dark Magic cards.

My MECCG cards are in a folder by type of card, subtype and title... but that's just for ease of deck building, honest :?

Sure it makes the most sense but there are other ways to do it. How about all the shields together, then all the helmets, then the swords followed by the axes type of type by points if you will. If you were more interested in WYSISYG and narrative play that may make more sense?

You could also order them by usual sets that would also include grouping the special character items by character. If I always used the blade of leaping gold with a dispel magic scroll for my wizard it could make sense to group them together? Or how about by effect? I want to boost my leadership all these items will do that, or I want to cause fear here are my options...

I may be over thinking this.

Oh and I'm sitting in a room of Scientists most of whom are female a couple biochemists. I shall decline to tell them your view on female chemists ;)

Effect/item type/ point cost then...

Oh and don't bother your female chemist colleagues with all that, that was the civil engineer talking, the french romantic has a totally different view inthis really.

TBH I went by the listings in Arcane Magic of the items and just added in the extra's from Chronicles of War where they fit into their method.

The Spell groupings were my own work

And we all know that Civil Engineering isn't really science anyway ;)

There's a neurosurgeon, a biochemist and a civil engineer sitting in a pub.

Suddenly, the neurosurgeon says 'God is a neurosurgeon, it's obvious'.

'How so?' say the other two.

'Well, look at the human brain. Millions of connections, capable of speech, high speed image processing, conscious and unconscious control - it's a marvel of creation. God has to be a neurosurgeon to have created that'.

The biochemist scoffs and says 'Not at all. Consider the chemical reactions in the human body. Conversion of water, air and chemical fuel in the form of food into motive energy. Inter-cellular transfer of that energy and waste products. All automatic, all essential. God is a biochemist to have created a system of such beauty, simplicity and balance'.

The civil engineer puts down his pint and chuckles. 'No chaps, you're both wrong. God is a civil engineer'.

'Nonsense!' cry the other two. 'Prove it!'

The civil engineer smiles. 'Who else but a civil engineer would route a waste system right through the middle of a leisure area?'

Or as Sheldon puts it, Engineers are the Oompa-Loompas of the science world.

Not really, without Engineers I wouldn't have my mass spectrometer now would I.
