Beastie Boys

Wotcha.

I did say that once I'd made some progress on my OG beastmen and broo I'd start a WIP thread. After a wee break I'm now getting stuck into them. Here's the first 20.

I really liked the mossy bases on the individual models, but having finally ranked them up I'm not convinced it works so well for a regiment. Fortunately, the moss is only held down with the gum it came with rather than dollops of PVA, so it won't be too much of an ordeal to change direction. I'm still thinking this over, but considering less moss supplemented with a forest floor scatter (I think these guys will be lurking deep in the forests of the Empire rather than wandering the Chaos wastes) . Opinions welcome.

Also, muted grey is really hard to photograph...

Most excellent.
I think forests are a very valid place for beastmen to linger.

However whilst these are beastmen most excellent, I am minded of the Gotrek and Felix story where they encounter a band of marauding mutants in the foothills and mountain slopes.
These bases to me smell very much of foothills and craggy outcrops just on the edges of some settlement of polite and weak pink skins.

Thanks @Michael The rocks will be staying - they're really glued on! I do think I've got a bit lazy, though, and have just been using the same basic brown/yellow/white basing scheme I came up with for my hobgoblins back in 2020 (ish). The moss looks a tad more refined than static grass, but there's so many great options out there I feel I should up my game. Within reason mind. I've just seen Texs' latest basing. I think that's a little beyond my skills. ;)

nice. Don't let anyone sabotage them as they fight for your right to party, by trying to punch them in their cooky puss and that's about as much as I can think of... ^_^;
