Battlemasters

Gentlemen,

I was wondering if anyone had either of the expansions for this? I believe there was a points buy system in them.

We played quite a bit of this in mid-late nineties as it was faster and more user friendly than WFB.

Was there anything of note in the expansions?

Neither did I
I seem to remember this as being a simple enough system that I might be able to persuade my missus to play - it'd make a nice change to solo gaming
I'd be most interested to hear about the expansions!

Damn I had the game and both extensions and can't recall clearly... the extensions enabled to get more cannons and ogres and I think they did provide some advanced material for campaigns and such (or maybe I'm mistaking it for the rules published in a french hobby magasine...)

Anyway, the best of things (imho of course) would be to use the models and trays to play one hell of HOTT game...

That's about right. There is some discussion of the expansions (and photos) on their BGG pages: Chaos Warband, Imperial Lords.

As far as I know there were only 2 expansions called Reinforcements - one being Imperial Lords (which had the same knights, archers and cannon) and Chaos Warband which had ogres, more beastmen and chaos knights.

Same models - just more of them and only sold in Europe.

Sorry for being late with this, forgot about it, the expansions just include the pointsvalues, nothing else, so unless you want those (which I can fix) there´s no need for the expansions!

I originally got it only for the models to expand upon my Warhammer armies, but the game itself isn´t too bad, not nearly as detailed as warhammer, but Quick & fun.

Hmm... this set me looking and I came across some old odd figures from this came. Anyone in the uk want them for the postage ?
