Battle Bible Source anyone?

Hello,

after about 10 years of abstinence some friends and me are trying to revive a WH40k 2.Ed gaming group. We still have the major part of our models. but are missing quite a lot of the rules and codexes. Therefore I smiled "from one ear to the other" as I found the BattleBible, summarizing a whole bunch of the rules. As its a fanproject its no wonder there are quite a lot of bugs/typos in it and I allready came across some. As our group will try to correct them anyway, we were thinking it would be a lot better to edit the original sources of the document than to make the changes by hand on a printed copy. That way we could also give s.th. back to the author/the community.
I allready tried to contact the author J. Evans Payne at "BattleBible@mindspring.com" or via "http://www.mindspring.com/~damonbradl/Warhammer_BattleBible_40k.htm" or by searching his name, but with no result.
So here is my question: Do you know how I can get in contact with the author or get a source file (.doc/.ood/.tex ...) of the document?

Best regards
Lukas

I do not know how to reach him, but I remember the Battle Bible being distributed as a Word document before it was a PDF. In any case, the Battle Bible has had many authors and editors over the years and exists in a few different versions (the most common being the retconned 1.51). Even the best version of the Battle Bible has a lot of key errors in it. To be honest, I would recommend all the resources mentioned in this thread over just using the Battle Bible.

thank you for your response. will try to work through all the ressources in the mentioned thread asap.
about the BattleBible including lots of errors you are right. But I like the idea of having one document including all stuff you need. This is why I am converting this document to a latex-project, so that all the errors can be fixed afterwards.

If people are interested in this, it would help a lot to gather all the found bugs somewhere (e.g. in this post), so that they can be fixed in the new document.

does anyone have a non-PDF (e.g. Word) file of the current BattleBible? That would save me a whole lot of work, when updating it

Hi there,

tried using the 'swayback machine'? Give access to old files that may not be truly deleted from t'interwebs.

Cheers,
