I personally think he looks better in the blurry background as a looking threat, as he's over twenty years old now, but I do like him. He's one of my favorite high-school era conversions. There's a bog post with an explanation called Grim Dark Titans of the Vintage Future! Now with More Ed! that I've pointed out in the threads where the questions arose, but I wanted to put the art in its own thread, so here it is.
The short version: this is a conversion of a vinyl ED-209 similar to one a friend did. We were inspired by the converted AT-ST titan in White Dwarf (and I have a damaged AT-ST model I picked up cheap years ago awaiting the treatment.) The EDs were a little easier to get at the time (and still are, probably) and made great conversions, so we went with those. The weapons are variously pipe, GI Joe toys, and wood dowel. Added detail parts are from assorted model tanks and aircraft. The cockpit is mostly from an A-10, though reconfigured considerably and with several added parts.
