Hey all!

I wanted to share some classic figures that I have been working on as part of a small commission I'm doing. These are about a third of a large mixed race empire mordhiem band from Averland....

...we'll start on a highnote with the dwarf! And it happens to be one of the Best Dwarf Figures ....EVER! a Marauder MM15 Zweihander!

Very cool. Can I ask how you are getting that brilliant, vibrant yellow? Mine (Game colour) always seems to come out watery and pale.
 
Simply fantastic work Blue.

A tip I have picked up with working with yellow is to base paint the yellow areas in a warm brown first (something like snakebite leather) and then paint it up with layers of yellow over that. Works a treat. Don't know if Blue is doing something similar though.
 
Lovely models, with two colours I consistently find tricky to paint (yellow & black). That's going to be a unit to envy!
 
It was scary enough facing off against your Brets but these guys would have given me even more of a drubbing! :lol:

:razz: So you good you ran out bandwidth and the pics aren't displaying! Good thing I caught them on your blog a few days ago. Really fantastic!
 
I too think these are nicely done - the subtle colour scheme (I second others about the yellow) makes different models look unified. Do you have a picture of the whole bunch together?

And I'm impressed with your pace ;)
