Anyone know where this card building is from?

It looks like a Warhammer Townscape building, but as far as I can tell the Townscape building (which reappeared in the 4th ed. boxed set) has a square roof? Or perhaps the back-of-box photo on the 4th ed box is inaccurate? Hell if I know.

Anyway, I got it in a job lot of toys on Freecycle and now it is crudely based with a roof made from coffee stirrers swiped from a pub. Awwww yiss.

It's Oldhammer if I do about as good a job on a piece of terrain as I would have done in middle school, right? :?

I would say it comes from the 4th edition Fantasy Battle Box set (the one with the High Elves and Goblins), but it could have appeared in other places too...

See, that was my first thought, but looking at photographs (and good ones are hard to find on the web for some reason) I think the tower in the 4th ed boxed set has a rectangular front door, not a Gothic arch like this one. The only source I have for this is photo on the back of the box, so I could be wrong -- it's entirely possible the old Townscape tower was used for the photo but the actual box contents differed (to look more Elven)?

Theoretically, I could check, but it's been a long, long time since I actually had my 4th edition box. Bygone days ...

I believe that the one on the back of the 4th edition box is from Townscape (white back, the second one in the book from page 38) and that the one you have is the one from the 4th (black back printed on heavier card).

I don't remember of any other printings of this kind of towers on heavy card with a black back.

I have the one from the box set; it has an arched door.

OK, that solves that!

How weird that the photo doesn't match. I had that box for umpteen years and never noticed. Thanks, guys.
