Not a massive fan of space marines either but interested in hearing the multifarious Bob's account of the initial design phase.

It's a nice interview - the stuff about casting the 3-ups for Heroquest is really interesting, as metal masters were floated around a while back. No major revelations on the LE2 / C100 space marines sculpt, just a chat with Rick and then Bob went off and sculpted the thing.

My only minor grumble is the interviewers kept referring to Games Workshop products which were developed long after Bob had left GW, rather than just focusing on Bobs work.

Needless to say, I prefer Bobs original hard / military sci-fi version of the Space Marines than the overly themed chapters that came later, which would have put me right off 40k if that had been my introduction.
