Aleksander's oldhammer blog

Greetings!

This will be my blog of oldhammer projects. I have always been drawn towards the older style of models, and over the years I have collected a few. I have never played a game of oldhammer though. I started with 6th edition fantasy, and played until the Old World was destroyed. But I have acquired the 3rd edition books, and hope that some day I will get to play it as well.

The reason for starting this blog is first of all to follow my journey of painting these old models. And of course, it will hopefully force me to keep painting and help me motivated.

I apologize in advance for my photo skills. Maybe this blog can help me improve that as well?

Here are my first pictures:

Group shot. Painted some time ago. I should repaint them in due time.

Welcome aboard

With the photography, just aim a couple of daylight (white lights) at the front of your minis. One to either side of the front....about 90 degrees apart. Put the camera/phone on daylight setting, hold still and click :)

See if that helps.

This might be a stupid question but is this thread the blog, or is there a link I've missed. Like the skin tone on the Ungor.

This thread will be my blog. Putting up a seperate blog on its own site is beyond my skills

The skin tone on the Ungor is super easy. GW Dark Flesh, wash with Badab Black, highlight with Dark Flesh. Done.

I too especially like the skin tone of the Ungor. I looks so much more rich that I would have expected by that simple method of applying Dark Flesh, Black, more Dark Flesh :)
