Albion lore pre Dark Shadows?

Where would be the best place to find old lore about Albion pre 6th ed? I vaguely remember a GW red shirt mentioning it used to be a group of islands or something in an old novel, that was years ago though so can't really recall what was said. ☹️

I have read Giantslayer. It is set in Albion. Not sure what vibes it gives off in terms of edition. Been a while since I read it.

When I saw 'pre Dark Shadows' I though you were talking about the 60s soap opera.. never really a fan of that thing...
